Samuele (played by Nick Russo, and Massimo Lopez, respectively past and present) and Marzio (Lodo Guenzi and Gabriele Lavia, past and present) are two friends from Bologna who, during the economic boom, formed a band called the Legend.
But they did not achieve the wild success they dreamed of and the two friends went their separate ways. Samuele became a successful bank executive, while Marzio continued chasing a career in show business, but only managing small jobs on local television.
Now - 35 years later, Marzio reaches out to Samuele in hopes of reuniting the band, but is brusquely rejected by his old friend. Samuele, devastated by the death of his son, takes his own life.
Samuele’s suicide gives Marzio a reason to see Sandra (Camilla Ciraolo, past and Edwige Fenech, present) his ex-wife, again. Their marriage ended tumultuously on the same day his band, ‘Legend’ had broken up.
A synthesis of Avati's masterful cinematic style, permeated by the wonderful music of Sergio Cammariere.
